What is actually going on
When someone in Plano searches "plumber near me", the first thing Google shows is a map with three businesses pinned on it. Those three get most of the calls. Everything below the map, including the regular search results your website lives in, gets what is left over.
Getting into that map has almost nothing to do with your website. It comes from a separate free listing called a Google Business Profile. Plenty of good businesses either never claimed theirs, or have one that Google created automatically years ago with the wrong hours, an old address, and a photo of the building next door.
